Hi
I don't know what your religious beliefs are but as a Wiccan, I believe that the phases of the moon are very important so I quite understand your attitude. For spellcasting, a full or waxing moon is useful if you want top attract something to your life and a waning moon if you want to cast something off (Like negative feelings.)

Ironically....and good post
I stepped out onto my deck on New Years Eve at midnight because I am surrounded beyond the pastures by other farms and always blessed with fantastic fireworks all around me. I looked for the moon, which I always do and it was directly overhead and just a tidbit prior to being full, but had this amazingly bright halo surrounding it perfectly. It was stunning. I watched until it began to fade (maybe only minutes), which I found rather odd also, but then ran for the computer to search for 'ring around the moon' on the internet.
Scientifically I guess something having to do with frozen crystals in the atmosphere causing a refraction of light (it said from the sun, huh?). I was a little confused but it stated that it is generally significant of a high cold front capping a low front causing a storm to approach. Well, sure enough the storm came in the 1st, strong winds and rain. Nothing ferocious, but nonetheless......
And back to the subject, I am a moon-child (having to do with my birth date). It has triggered my moods and health all of my life, my female cycles and especially (shhh), my libido. I'm also attracted to all bodies of water, need my trip to the beach regularly, could never be torn to live inland and.....I sound like a fish! Yes, the moon has everything to do with our human bodies of water.

Since our bodies are made up of 80% or so water, I can see the moon
affecting the tides of our lives, just like the sea...might as well enjoy the ride!

Absolutely
I guess there is some truth that a full moon
does fuel change.
