Whacky
When in the office, my co-workers make fun of the way I type. They often joke about the way I "clickety clack".

Yeah, I do clickety-clack when I type,
but I think that's because I've practised not to look at the keys when I type. Also I go fast when I have some inspiration and don't want to lose the thought. 'Course you wouldn't have found clickety-clack when you had the time to look - that's how it usually works.
Maybe the person was writing an urgent email at the time or something.

with so much on-line, I rarely go to the library anymore...
although I do love to hang out at Barnes & Noble, my favorite store in the whole wide world!

sometimes I do, but not usually.
Maybe the person was transcribing something to send an email or something. At my library, they have privacy screens on them, so you can't see what anyone is doing on the net unless you stand over their shoulder, which would get you k.o.'d! lol. But those people were sure making good use of their internet time, eh??

Oh, I'm a slow typer.
And, I do it with one hand, so I can write or talk on the phone. I wish I could type faster, but on the bright side, my lack of typing skills saved me from having to work for lawyers. Take care

Whenever I type fast I make double the mistakes and end up taking twice as
...long. You need training to do it properly. Me and an ex went to typing classes twenty years ago, but only turned up twice. Too boring.

Yep.
My husband will laugh when he walks in the room and hears me typing because he says I type really fast. I haven't taken a speed test in a long time, but when I was in 7th grade I was already accurately typing 70 words a minute.

whacky, a frequent comment I get is "my but you type fast!"
So perhaps I'm one of the clickety clack typists!! It was a life or death skill I learned from my few years of doing classified ads. One has to be quick to survive!

my own personal reaction to the clickety at the library was one of resigned
acceptance, coupled with a sigh. i really, really loved the "silence" of libraries and feel something special has slipped away from us. personally, i can't get into a book with all that noise and in fact, don't go anymore.

i do clickety when i've got something burning up inside me trying to get
out - much like the dog diet pill story,
that came off my fingertips quickly. i can't do keys "professionally" because i suffer from tendonitis and the stretch of fingers across the board leaves me screaming in pain. i use all my fingers but they have their own routine. i have an excellent vision of the monitor in my head so my concentration is on the keyboard itself. i can "see" where i've made a mistake without even looking up and can back up, delete or include as necessary. i always edit all writing with a real read-through, see where i can clean sloppily constructed sentences, then hit "save and post" or whatever.

LOL, since the Library is my second home, I hear the clickety clack
ALL of the time. LOL What I can't stand is the clickety clack persson who sits next to me in the computer lab. I always have to move next to the person playing solitaire. LOL
