Thank you so much Najwa for your insight and kind words about my art friend, I tried to portray the desert in the evening and some poor soul taking a drink and being blown into the air by one of these planted evils by man-unkind!! Thank you again for all your help through your encouraging reviews friend

Thanks Dave! For the slap on the back friend.
Evocation=Aura or Suggestion Thanks again I really apprecate the help in learning Dave, only please don't look back down to my reply for Troosha's comments!. . The way I have spelt ''metropolis'' God I want to run and hide. Do you reckon Troosha will believe me if I tell her I was thinking about an X president of Greece , stuck in two minds ?

Thank you Kato friend!
I wish the picture could have been inspired by a more happier thought, then landmines but alas no mam. Still just had too post the picture for I really can't bring myself to write poetry on the subject. Thanks again Kato and good luck to you and yours

Hi Tony
I have written poetry of the market place before friend, you will find one on Portobello market if you look back down my list of poems, Portobello is the worlds largest antiques market but no more exciting then Petticoat Lane, though I personally prefer Portobello, Petticoat Lane mostly clothing but I always stop off for a ruby-murry, can't resist once the aroma overpowers the diesel fumes of Liverpool ST Station. Thank you Troosha
You have it friend, yes this market is in the heart of London's East End, With all the different peoples of the metrotropalass going about their busy days, I would travel down the line from Clacton often some years back but once or twice a month is enough of the hussle and bussle nowadays for me. I took myself out for a walk today over Wrabness thinking how lucky I am with peace and quite at hand if I need it! Which I do. Mike

Thank you so much TAPS!
I am so glad you enjoy my poems, I journeyed down into old London town Saturday evening, East Ham to be exsect, I had some business there with an old friend I have known since my days working at the Ford plant in Dagenham Essex about 15 years ago. I stayed over at his place and made my way to Liverpool St Station the next morning , having a look round Petticoat Lane Market and treating myself to a curry before catching the train back up the line to Clacton On Sea Essex and home. The curies in Brick Lane are probably the best in the south of England though I have heard the ones served in Bradford in the North are even better! Mike

THE WORDS ARE VERY POWERFUL AND THE PICTURE TOO AS I UNDERSTOOD THAT THE COLORS IN IT PAINTING YOUR WORDS IN THE ANGER AND THE LOUD SOUNDS AND THE BLACK BACK GROUND IS THE UNTOLD REACTION AGAINST THE UNFAIRNESS ,,,,,,
,,,,,,I like it very much both the poem and the picture they are great work .....

Hi Taps!
I was reading an article on unexploded antipersonnel mines, 100 million lie hidden world wide. This shocked me into this particular creation of my art. I know it does not go with the poem but I could not bring myself to write of the maiming of innocent people who had nothing to do with what ever conflict of the time was taking place. Some twenty years or more later, lives still being destroyed . All I could think of was piles of limbs and bodies blown into the air, though not dead but hobbling around, when they landed, I imagined men in uniforms planting mines like gardeners plant flowers. 100 Million this thought is still in my mind. Mike, a great snippet of London hustle and bustle.
This is fertile ground - I wonder what other similar stuff you have up your sleeve?

I saw a marketplace and the hustle and bustle of a big city – hope that was the picture you were painting. You so very often make your reader think twice…..
