Whacky
Your neighbor better be glad you decided to venture outside, otherwise he could have been stuck up on the roof for quite some time!

Maybe he was embarrassed?

I'm not good at small talk either. I just stand there and smile sometimes, and I'm sure some people think I'm kinda funny too.

"So how about this snow?"

"Yep, there sure is a lot of."

"Yep."

"Yep."

Kinda reminds me of King of th Hill.  Ha!  Take care

Hello, Whacky!

My goodness, what an odd little man. Perhaps he is of another world altogether and here for a visit, having yet to master social graces and communication skills...

Happy New Year!!!

I think he is odd - to put it mildly, Whacky.
Perhaps you'd better start practising 'roof rescue' techniques.

whack
I wondered if he even said "Thank You"?  And had he shoveled anything else? Maybe he LIKES to shovel and had shoveled everything else and the roof was all that was left?  Maybe he has bad circulation and can't feel his feet?  Velly, velly intelestink!

It's only a guess but

they say there may be snow on the roof but there is fire in the chimney,

Maybe he was up there checking out the theory. LOL

Was he wearing his pyjamas? Maybe he sleepwalked up there.

LOL!
Actually it also helps to prevent leaking etc... the less sitting moisture on the roof the less chance of weakening or beaking down of the materials.  Can you tell I am married to a Carpenter?

They do say that it takes all
types to make the world but shovelling snow without proper shoes/boots on? Sounds more than a little odd.

Not a good idea. But, he could have slid down the roof on his hind-end and taken care of a lot of it. If there were that much snow, his landing would have been very soft!

while roof clearing in heavy snow is always a good idea, your neighbor
sounds, ahem, whacky!  i had rich folk friends in montreal that had a heated roof and driveway, never had to shovel.  now if i could afford that, i'd move back east tomorrow!

Sounds like a very dangerous thing to do...

Isn't that funny, I always thought you lived in Texas or AZ.

Whacky, I hope he doesn't get stuck up there!
