FAHOLA

THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTFULL AND CONSIDERATE REMARKS, AND I, OF COURSE, WOULD DITTO YOUR COMMENTS IN EVERY PARTICULAR.  MY COMMENTS WERE DIRECTED SPECIFICALLY TO THOSE WRITERS AMONG US WHO WERE EDUCATED ALL THEIR LIVES IN AN ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRY AND SHOULD KNOW HOW TO USE OUR LANGUAGE.

IT SHOULD GO WITHOUT SAYING THAT THOSE WHO HAVE SPOKEN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH ALL THEIR LIVES SHOULD RECEIVE SPECIAL CONSIDERATION.  I SHUDDER TO THINK HOW AWFUL I WOULD SOUND IF I HAD TO COMMUNICATE, FOR INSTANCE, IN A LANGUAGE SUCH AS URDO (SP)!

THANKS AGAIN FOR HELPING ME TO "FILL IN THE GAPS!"

Hello Gerald, welcome back! What you say is true for those of
us well acquainted with the English language and the proper use of it. However, let us be aware of those here, whose native language is not English and whose posts are sometimes difficult to read with ease. If we use good grammar, proper pronouns, etc. in our comments to them we can help them to learn for that is what they are attempting to do. I know you were not pointing a finger in their direction but we do need to bear this in mind, I beleive. Take care and keep writing!faholo
