Whacky
Having to go inside and outside and inside and outside to open up to get the garage door to open kind of defeats the purpose of an opener, huh? Glad your batteries worked for you, even though in the end your keester kissed the garage floor and you had to repair a stool.

Yeah those garage doors are a pain in the butt. Two weeks ago I had to pay $55.00 for yet another opener...I mean the system is over 10 years old they should have given me a discount methinks...But when it is cold outside, there is nothing like a door that works like it is supposed to~

LOL, Whacky
I love it when I have sweet memories from something that I read on Blogit. I will never forget when we bought my Dad a garage door opener for his birthday. He was 70 I think and the garage door was a heavy wooden one with eight windows across it. I think he loved it more than any other gift he had ever received.

Whacky...
Sometimes you can slam the door down and the mechanism will catch, I'll bet in your case the cold made it sticky. I get cranky in the cold too!

I've had that happen to my garage door too...
It's tough to get them working right again. You didn't fall, did you?
