Yes Troosha I do very much friend, I am blessed where I roam here, for Britons oldest recorded town is only 17 miles from here Colchester, first Roman capital .London which is just 63 mile further on from Colchester is full in history as well, museums of all kinds, then across the river Stour you have the beautiful county of suffolk , also steeped in history. Though in truth history is everywhere in all Lands. I would love too travel in and through China one day. A great place of learning, the Chinese are very different in the way they look at things, so much so its as if they have come, or we ; from different planets. So much to learn see and explore so little time for adventure. Still now we have the internet but still not!  As you have so rightly said. Just being there and feeling the place through times gone bye, in touching. Thank You again Troosha

Lion
Interesting bit of history. I enjoy visiting places laced with history if only to run the sand through my fingers, touch a church pew, or feel the stone of an ancient building.  It reminds me of how many lives and events unfolded in that very place before I came along to walk the soil.  Sounds like you enjoy or appreciate it as well.

Hi Tony, yes we are friend,
No matter where one puts his size 10's down in this green and pleasant land there is history it would seem aver in legend or myth or story true , everdence around in ruins old and new, Manchester would have been a Roman Garrison any town or city with chester woven in its name means garrison , there are many spread out around Britain all interlinked with straight roads, to march on uprisings and trouble fast, carn't for the life of me understand why the idea of straight roads was not adapted by us after they left our shores? Would save on the waste in fuel surely. Thanks for stopping by again friend

Inspiring stuff Mike
Glad to see how much you enjoy the landscape and appreciate the local history. There is so much history in Britain, we are lucky, aren't we?
