- Go to A POTATO CHIP SANDWICH?
I dunno . . . right in the middle of the bread there's the beginning of
. . . a green spot! Yikes!
A lot of people here put potato chips in their sandwiches. Always grossed me out. Some swear by it--say they can't eat a sandwich any other way.

When I was a kid we would make
Bologna sandwiches with mustard and lay potato chips on top of the lunch meat. When you put the other bread on top, it smashes the chips and makes this really cool sound.

Whacky, how strange...
When I was around 13, my friend and I used to eat potato chip sandwiches all the time for breakfast. It consisted of mayo, and some potato chips, then smashed flat to make them fit

Sometimes we ate a little chipped ham on them as well.
I have found that whole grain breads last MUCH longer than regular. Their "purchase by" date is usually at least twice as long, and their life is somewhat extended even after that.
