eeeeeek! I'm glad I don't have to rely on train travel where I live!
Liked how you spoke of Susan. She's very fortunate to have somebody speak so highly of her.

Sorry to hear about your awful ordeal-
We've had pretty severe weather here in the US too but we're better prepared to deal with such things.

I’ve been watching the new and the images of the storms in Europe in general. Absolutely amazing! Although you journey home was a challenge at least you made it there safely. And you’re right… we do feel twig like when nature becomes so forceful. We’ve battered and bashed around here on the West Coast of Canada this year and it’s been very trying.

It's always a pleasure to read your posts. I am not a registered Google member, or I would have commented on your bookmark post. I think you are right about overlooking taste and smell. My wife comments that I have a keen smell, but I think I just pay attention. It's something we could all benefit from.
Hope you are well soon. What type of storm was it? Was it like a hurricane? I'm not sure what type of weather you Brits are subjected to there.

LOndoners do need a break--Blessings & benedictions. And for your cold
---some fresh ginger root cleaned/skinned and boiled in water like tea, but 5 minutes longer. This will decongest and build up your immunity --TRY it. Get well wishes from Lady Cee and me:

Nature never fails
to keep us in place and remind us that we are much, much less in control than we think we are. After any advertisty - like you in the storm and travel chaos - the calm is SOOO appreciated, yes? A humbling experience.
