Julia, our 2 cats are EXACTLY like yours..everything you've mentioned,

Cats are creatures of instinct, relativism, and inertia. Humans are simply
objects that may or may not be allowed to intrude on their daily sojourns. Natural nonconformists, you'll not relegate your 'dumb' cats to your way of thinking. In that way lies madness.

Hi Julia
I too have a pet dog, and do you know whatever I train him to do, he does quite to the contrary. That pricisely then set me thinking one day that is it I that train him or that he does!

I believe our cats are related
Sammy who is a rather large cat, likes to sleep in one of Pam's old Easter baskets, he started this as a kitten and somehow manages to still fit in that damn thing.

Not so dumb...they are training you.
Bo starts the night in his doggie basket but by morning somehow manages to appear on the foot of the bed. Hummmm.

Oh, that irritates me to all get-out!!
The Monster cooks discounted steaks (and I'm not lying to you) on the grill for the dogs, and they totally diss them. Instead, they would much rather chew on some goosepoop outside or a piece of bark or something. Ohhhhh, how I can relate to this post!! LOL

And maybe she likes getting nearly eaten by my dog each time. My dog's bowl is plastic and gets slimey. Her bowl is metal and says clean and the water says cool...I don't get it...unless it's the whole piss the dog off factor...lol...

you crazy? LOL I think your cats are quite smart.... just think how hard they must be laughing when you let them lay with their butt in your face? LOL

and having cat-butt breath would be an improvement? LMAO.
The one that gets me is hanging their rumps off the edge of the litter box--wassup with that??

she bit because you inadvertently went past the point that it was pleasureable. Next time, pay close attention, there are probably subtle clues that she has had enough--tail twitching is the most obvious sign of an impending bite!

I would LOVE to have a cat, but I'm scared my dog wouldn't take to one. Hey, maybe your cats aren't dumb because they sleep with their butt in your face! Maybe they just think you need a breath mint! LOL!

My cat is so dumb she “bites the hand that feeds here”. I can be petting her and she can be purring with bliss and out of the blue – WHAM - she sinks her teeth into my hand. Wassup with that?
