If you want to watch a boring sport, try Fencing--

Unless you are a fencer, or in some other way have developed a very quick eye, it can be hard to see anything actually happening, beyond the dancing around.  At least with curling, and even poker, I can see what's going on.

My husband, by the way, is a fencing coach-- has been fencing since high school.  It is his one passion in life.  Really, just the one...

whacky--
I never understood the appeal of the poker broadcasts, unless you're a pro player and really, how many of those can there be in the world??

Whacky, to actually watch it long enough to form opinions.  Can I suggest Tums or Rolaids?

I think the television companies
must be bluffing. Write in and ask to see their hands on the table.

To a poker afficiando

I like watching poker on TV, I play it quite a bit and it's fun to see the pros and semi pros play.

It's like anything else though, if you're not into it, BORING to watch! My Mom watches curling on TV and loves it. Now THAT is boring

Whacky
Do they still have a test pattern?  I haven't seen one for years.  I have that cable stuff where you can get over 500 channels and late night all I can find is poker and paid programming.  Where's the test pattern?  I can't even remember what it looked like.  I would like to see it again.  LOL

Strange how these things can actually gather in an audience...
I once watched an afternoon of competitive snooker because the tv only got one channel...

you'd think if they're going to offer non-professional poker they could
also offer bowling.  if could watch bowling, that would put me right to sleep!

I know what you mean about those darn poker games...I never watch them but my son loves them...It's that time of night I usually head up to the higher channels like Discovery or History. Then again on a night like tonight...they don't have anything good on either~ At least you have Bo!
