The Virgin Megastore is a totally cool place to take your kid.  It's a like a TOTAL playground for young (ummmm, and old--I enjoy going there myself).  Glad you got to make the dental appointment.  I'm sure he appreciated knowing you were there.

I have been to the same dental hospital with my son

Thank you everyone

for your kind and supportive comments - they are definitely helping to take me to where I want to go this year.

I'm pleased you like the blogs and site - apart from our childrens' blogs, they are all from my own hand I'm afraid, but my wife has helped with banner design so pleased you like those too (as is she!)

I wanted to get to the point this year when I can't not write each day. It's the 24th of January and I'm there already. Thank you all again

Sound like a wonderful afternoon! I think we’ve all had a harried or “Murphy’s Law” trip to a train or a plane. Hate when everything seems to be working against me….

Very nice post, Malcolm
Had me in suspense; hoping the obstacles would clear in time. Glad they did...cozy and warm finale. I think the part about you and your son walking hand in hand was really sweet. Highly enjoyable read - Thank you.

You're a fine dad, and I remember the pain of having to leave my children to drive off to work in different Provinces and Countries. I loved reading of your day with Ivan, special time that  and you both will hold it in your minds forever.

Railroad

Do you and your wife both post here?  I don't know if the stories are from perspective of a male or female.  Just curious.  I love the descriptions on your railway blog.  Even the very short posts, you use words that just put me right there visually.  I want to be able to write like that.

I grew up around a lonely stretch of rail track.  Held much fascination for me.  Cargo only, I believe.  I don't ever recall seeing passanger cars.

Thank you for stoping by my post about my son.

Who designed your "Railway Lines" site?
It's very attractive.

That was awful sweet to let him play hooky a little longer!  A few moments of shopping does the spirit good!
