Whacky
I loved Bo's 'business transactions,' Whacky. The one good thing about snow is you can find said 'business transactions' as long as it doesn't snow too heavily. Our house
cracks me up as well.

Whacky
Imagining you asking Bo "what was that?" cracked me up. I think houses are constantly settling and shifting. Ours does the same thing, and sometimes it catches me off guard because of a loud *pop* noise.

yeah
The fridge sounds like it went to the cabinet to get a cup and then got ice. Crazy. I keep thinking someone is at the icemaker!

whacky,
The elders believe that errie sounds can sometimes be heard at midnight when the moon is bright. I don't know how far this is true.

Once the weird noises start
they never seem to stop until the sun comes up. It is so easy to imagine gobblins, and things creeking and creeping, oh, I am getting scared, and it is bedtime, what am I doing? LOL
Best to you - be calm its the wind!

I hear EVERYTHING!!!!
While Carl working nights works for my sleep schedule, I don't like it because I feel better when there is someone else here.

Old houses do settle...
I used to live in an older house in the country by myself--it was spooky. I didn't have a "BO" around to protect me. But I had a dog named "Kate" who was pretty good.

when I first moved into my house, the sounds at night would
wake me up constantly. Now, I don't even notice them.
