Greenfields…..thank you for sharing this dinner experience…
..such dinner parties are such a wonderful way to share intimate experiences with others…..and things never go perfectly right or exact for the host…..the electricity goes out, the bread burns, something spills, whatever….but the guests and the host can relate to one another through these experiences and use them to make the evening memorable….I would have loved to have been a guest at this dinner party, to hear all about India, and the other stimulating conversation.

I also like the sound of "seeing 1000 moons" - life measured through lunar gazing and all the wonder associated with that. As always a beautiful post.

Thank you all for your comments
and yes, there is a chance that they will pass on.  But, in the meanwhile I am glad I can bring some pleasure into their lives and they into mine.  I like being reminded of my mortality!

What a lovely way to spend your evening.
Our older folks have so much to share. So very many things to teach us. How fortunate you are to be able to spend time with them. I'm sure it's a joy for them also. Thanks for sharing! Thumbs Up

Greenfields
I have always enjoyed being with older people.  They are very special, very interesting.  I love to hear their stories.  The sad part is that so often just when you are the most attached to them, suddenly they are gone and you are left with only memories.
