You made a statement about how you understood that a child's years passes too quickly and he will never get to enjoy them again.  This understanding proves that you are a loving a caring parent.

Sometimes, when I look at the toy prices, the TV ads, all the focus
on child rearing (a la Dr. Phil, etc.) and guidance, it seems that in some ways children do rule. This is not a bad thing, as long as loving parents are in charge and set boundaries. I liked the comment about never growing up. It's a rare life in which a child can grow up with trust and faith intact. Thoughtful, well-written post. Thanks!

Thank you everyone
for your comments once again. It's great to know people are reading - what more can any writer wish for than readers and comments back? Much appreciated.

It's sooooo wrong for some parents.....
to rob their own children of their "childhood"........it's so short as it is....

Malcolm
Kids would rule with a more tolerant and forgiving eye, that's for sure.  Fen Creative looks like a cool site, by the way.

Malcolm….yes, the time with children goes by so fast
and before we know it they are out and about on their own….as you say, we must make the most of the time we have with them and enjoy it.   Thanks for this insight into your world.

This sounds like a delightful CD but I'm not familiar with it.
I do envy kids for their optimism. One of my fav movies is "Willie Wonka"-

malcom, people should consult the wizardry of children more often.
they deserve more respect than they get from society.  On a lighter note, I'm imagining what dinner would be like if children ruled the world...Pudding, cakes, cookies, gum-drops, gummy worms...and that's course one :)
