Julia, it seems to me, you've had the wonderful experience of
spending some time with one of the playground monitors... Samuel, I mean.

Hi, Jomei!
In response to both your comment and Avant-garde's, I am also a kid in the evening playground, but sometimes, I just feel on the outside of the afternoon and sometimes even the morning playgrounds...  excluded, rather than on an adventure of my own.  I think it's that loneliness illusion Wackey and I talked about...

Oddyseus, I understand mushrooms are like that, too--
a fairy ring is a single entity.  In fact, I have heard that the largest plant we know is a fairy ring east of Portland, Oregon.

Wackey, the illusion of alone-ness does seem to be the one that most drives
us to distraction... so we are distracted from seeing and recognizing the big picture.

Ciel
Thanks for that bit of soul exploration/ evolution. I think I fit in the evening playground pretty well right now. Thanks for your time and support.

Ciel, I enjoyed that very much.
I have felt like I was born into the evening playground at times, being an only child and having experienced all my friendships as transient for most of my life. Sometimes I feel as if I'm growing backwards, back to innocence. Maybe my sense of brotherhood has needed different ways to make it known to me.

Ciel….like the guy that discovered that the Redwood forest
did not really consist of hundreds of individual trees, but rather that they were all interconnected with their root systems such that they were much like a single entity…….excellent writing here, my friend!

ciel--
haha, we posted a minute apart!

This is a great piece, I love how you have used the playground metaphor to explain stages of evolution. I think my favorite part is the first two paragraphs though!!
