As I'm not a cat-lover, this would DEFINITELY be a nightmare to me!! LOL
But, having as many dogs as I do. . , I understand the feeling of not needing an alarm clock all too well.

Julia.
Pets tend to keep a watching eye on those they love. Whenever I nap on the couch, I wake with pets all around me. Hah-Hah

Have a good day Julia.

That's bad. I guess I'm a bad mommy to my kitty but the only place that I will not allow Pitiful is on my bed. She spends a lot of time under it--when I'm in it, when I'm on my PC which is in my bedroom and when anyone she doesn't know comes to visit. I've never allowed dog or cat to share my bed. Its just a thing with me. We cuddle on the recliner in the living room and she lets me know when she wants some cuddling.

Julia,
they sure are smart animals! When I still had a cat, it used to come for me (in the middle of night) because it wanted out to go hunting. And then he sat meowing loud enough to be let in again - after which he cuddled up next to my head and snored a bit...

I bet they're very cute. I'd love to have a cat, but I'd be leery to bring one home.

There are times when I wake up to a silhouette of two giant ears hovering over me, and I'm certain Charles is going to kill me in my (almost) sleep!

At least all they did was look at you. When Gypsy decides I've slept long enough, she climbs on my back (I often sleep on my stomach), finds a comfortable spot between my shoulder blades, lays down, and gently pats my cheek with one of her paws. Yes, that sounds all sweet, but it's often not, considering that paw could've been scratching around in a litter box just minutes before.
