I get them mixed up even in the far north, Whacky, and have to check them for size before trying to pay anything.

Whacky
I HATE the new nickels and quarters.  Not only are the hard to spot in an open hand, but they have very little character!

Maybe if you're lucky, the cashier won't get fired!  It would sure be nice to receive a free chicken once a week.  *grin*

i think they were trying to go back to the old buffalo nickel looking nickels.  i personally hate them.  ok, maybe not hate, but they confuse me and everyone i know.  especially when you are working in a bar or restraunt

Whacky...
There are new nickels and quarter?  Maybe I should pay more attention.  Seriously, my brother had a woman pay for some shoes with rolls of quarters.  When they broke them open later, they were Susan B. Anthony "quarters".  Since the rolls had here name on them, they called her and she was very grateful.  But I don't think they threw them at her!

She THREW it at you?  You should've thrown it back at her.  LOL  I do get the quarters and new nickles mixed up.  I hate it.

It all looks like play money to me now.... Yes. Throwing things at
customers that you are not friends with is not done.

You know, Whacky...
People seldom do something like that just one time--its usually habitual behavior for them and sooner or later they get caught by the boss.  You happened to be the "lucky" one that got the checker reprimanded.

Front line service staff must never take it out on customers.
