Taking it easy and excited! Quite a contrast but fairly accurate. Thanks for the message.

I can't think of a nicer person to "hang out" with. LOL I enjoyed your post and I am glad you enjoy the occasional laundry on the line too.
Things are great here. Take care!

Thanks for the thoughts, a drying station by the window sounds good to me, I will try that when I get home and check out the east side of my house for a friendly window. Thanks

I loved the feeling of getting into a bed with fresh sheets that had dried on the clothes line. There was a wonderful crispness and fragrance about them. And oh….
Mother nature finds ways to convict our soul, Absolutely…. I agree!

Lou--
My grandmother still dries her clothes on a line in her backyard, even though she has a clothes dryer. I actually hang dry a lot of my clothes, although I do it on a rack inside in front of a window like Fabby Abby was talking about, because I love delicate materials that get ruined in the dryer. They really do smell much better!

I so love the smell of sheets hung on the line...and when it's nice outside I still do it from time to time..
I can remember my Mom used fells napka soap...It was a big bar and she would slice the soap into the wringer washer..
Glad you are enjoying yourself and can't wait for the BIG DAY!!

line drying a 'memory'
Heavens, I must live in a backward country (Oz). Sure we have clothes dryers for rainy days, but who on earth would actually choose to dry their clothes this way if they could hang them in the fresh air! Even apartment dwellers dry their clothes on a clothes horse on their balconies or in front of open windows. As many people as possible should be doing this to cut down on greenhouse gases. We're killing our world by unnecessary use of 'dirty' resources - bring back the open air clothes line!

I also remember the ringer washing machine and I saw one on display recently. My mother would not let me near the ringer for fear I would mash my fingers. But you know, our mothers got the clothes really clean with those babies. I really do like the new stuff, washers and dryers all inside. LOL
Hey do you remember Duz the soap powder?
