Hi, Odysseus!

I dread the thought of packing up this place we've lived for over 20 years now, accumulating, stashing-away, forgetting, replacing...  Watching them do it provides some encouragement, not to mention the need to create space for the stuff they didn't take along, including some furniture we have yet to pick up.  In fact, we may need to find a pick-up, as our two small cars are not either one big enough for a couple of items...

Meanwhile, I go through the boxes from the pantry, sorting out benefits for the local food-bank from those we will make good use of.  There are a lot of interesting spices, and a jar of hard sauce, and some frozen items called Bumbleberry Blossoms...  sausages and cheeses, a block of halvah...  A jar of Jezebel Sauce I once gave them because we have little use for it...  except as a gift to someone who appreciates hot sauce and odd labels!

He must have eaten the can of mushy peas I gave them a while back...  (He's British, and I thought he'd enjoy that taste of home)

Sannhet, I keep hearing that it is a great place to go
and to live, if you like an equatorial climate!

Ciel -
I wouldn't mind being them. Singapore is one of my favorite places in the world.

Thanks, Tanga!~ my son Charlie said

it was like the car was a big Christmas stocking!

My son-in-law has traveled widely for his work, and so it will not all be strange to him.  They will be finding a house or apartment to rent, and in about a month, I will be going to see how they're doing--courtesy of his frequent flyer miles!

Thanks so much for your encouragements, I will pass them along!

What a lot of stuff you got!
Wish them luck and good fortune in Singapore from the Tanga's. It is not easy adjusting to a new country (speaking from experience). My advice be strong and all will work out
