I love the last lines of this poem. . .
a rocket-like and exuberant launching like the best sonnets have at the end. I tend toward what I like to call voluptuous, so I can identify. . .

Ohh how I can relate
Unfortunately, you won't see me writing poems about resisting junk food because, there's nothing refined or pretty about that process, for me. It's little more than a knock-down, drag-out fight between what my id wants (food, and lots of it!) and what my superego wants (not to gain back the 60 pounds I've lost. Back back, ye id! Be gone demon id!!). That's the short and end of it. I just try to keep myself distracted and busy, that helps.
And ha, I saw your "ad for 30 year old blonde into Hegel" comment. Darn, I almost fit that description. Two out of three ain't bad, right?

Loved it
Though my philosophy on weight is closer to Pooh's, or rather
Mr. Edward Bear as he was introduced in "When We Were Very Young".

There's definitely more to come in this food theme, I think!
Thanks everyone for your comments. I don't normally eat too much, but there's nothing worse than being really hungry and not having any nice little snacks to nibble! That's how I felt this afternoon at work - like OneTimeAgain!

LOL...good one!
We've all been there - Try to focus on something else! Have you heard of Hoodia?
It's an all-natural product from Africa that stops hunger pangs.
