You will make it. Just know that it won't be a forever thing. I wish you both well.

Cypress, that is the way it is with my wife -- but it was a wise
move because her work is just a few minutes from her place of therapy!

I feel your situation. My 85-year-old mother always makes her health appointments for mid afternoon. I kid her that with lunch, errands, and the appointment I always have to deal with rush hour traffic going home. I love my mother, but she refuses to start earlier.

MC-
You know, of all people, how much your wife appreciates the time it takes to do this for her? Are you needing to take a nap? I bet there are little rooms with beds in them they would let you sleep. I had to lie down and sleep in the middle of testing; of course, my head was being played with. They were adjusting the settings of my brain implants so I had a good reason to lie down. It was an examination table, but I slept solidly for 30 minutes and felt like new afterwards. When my daughter was taking me to PT, she took a laptop and hooked into a wireless service and caught up on some work.
My husband took time off today to run me over for the two-year check up with my doctor, the radiologist. Two years and cancer free. Of course, I got hugs from all the nurses. I gave them one of my handcrafted valentines that they all oohed and ahhed over. I call the cancer nurses "the smiles department." I treat nurses with love and affection just as if they were my two sisters (who are nurses.)
Best wishes making it through to April 8th!

I'm sorry it's so tough for you.
It's good that you're sticking by her side, though; a lot of people wouldn't.

Instead of going inside and participating....
Why don't you stay outside in the car or go to CompUSA?

You could give her a 2-week taxi cab pass (but that might kill your
wallet!)
