Thanks PF and Carl.
The weather forecast this morning gives me a bit of hope we might not get too wet. Good point about it being kids who love the snow and adults who hate it. I didn't see the Miami game but I heard about it. I wonder if the people who went were dressed in preparation for the rain or not?

They were comparing it to the '66 blizzard
which was great fun. My older brothers, 11 and 13 at the time, and I almost eight had to dig down and over for our snow shovelling service, making big bucks in our estimation. Back home, we built a full scale igloo, making packed snow blocks, laying them in narrowing circles and pouring water on the outside to help seal and secure the exterior.
It is only the adults, trying to drive somewhere, who totally miss the point and can't cope with winter weather.

Have fun Tony...Did you see the Super Bowl Game from Miami last week???
It rained hard all day! And Miami is usually sunny and warm. You'll have a good time anyway!

Snow joke. I'm feeling a bit flakey so I'm off to bed.
To morrow - today now, I suppose - I'm going down to the south coast to watch a football match with no cover, in the pouring rain. Well, that's the forecast, so it must be right, right? And I'm paying for this pleasure? What a fool!

I too have apologized for weather. But why?The richest companies don't...so
long as $$$ and LLLsssppp's are to be made, at anyone's cost. Been that way ever since the end of the Civil War and Reconstriuction in this nation. Anyways, as the Buddhists teach, gasshho and metta are always welcome. Thanks for caring...Neil

Tony
I'm afraid we americans - prodigious consumers that we are - have cornered the market on snow this year as well. Heavy snowfall and icy weather have plagued the U.S. the last two months. Fourcats is right about upstate NY, and much of the midwest is still digging out from blizzards in December and January. I guess what I'm saying is: we'd be happy to send some your way if we could :).
Be well,

Tony, I feel really hard done by. Last good snow fall was 7 years ago, I
had my pleather trousers on at the time. I remember this because we had a shortage of plastic fertilizer bags, so I just plonked on my pleather ass and skidded down the frozen snow on our road. I shredded it to bits, but had a laugh, and I'd bloody well do it all over again tomorrow, but I've seen heavier falls of dandruff (not mine!!) than snow in recent years. Thats a scrapbook sonnet I reckon, a keeper for the grandkids.

Ahhhh, yeeessssss....
You did this so well! Remembering those days, sliding down hills, being wet and cold and laughing until we hurt, wouldn't have traded it for anything! Hope your snow comes soon!
