Whim, my sentiments exactly.

Once Made,

a bed was not to be sat on or laid on, and putting your shoed feet on the bed was a federal offense.

One never got into bed with their day clothes on.  Even for a nap, the day clothes had to come off.

So many rules.  It is a miracle we survived to adulthood.

Someone mentioned cats...
The bed here is the cat crash pad too, along with my ottoman in the tv room. More often than not you can find one of our furry darlings curled up in the nest that the quilt makes. It's funny, J hates for me to make the bed, but then screams if the cats get on the sheets; me I want the bed made and all the pillows just so. One day the man will learn that he can't have it both ways all the time (although he tries really hard). Me, I can make a bed tight enough to bounce quarters. Funny, the habits that stay with you.

I don't blog in bed either
blogging gets me ready for sleep

I don't blog in bed but I fall asleep at the keyboard (lately)!

Our king sized bed's linens fit for a while, then get too small.

Our bed is the cat island. Two or three at a time, sometime fighting, sometimes walking down over our heads.

But if you guys expect me to share my bed with the BN...you really, really need a good "do-over" on those ECT sessions!

Bed blogging...
I'm with you beachbelle...reading that made me want to muss up the sheets and dive in. And aside from afternoon rolls in the hay there ain't nuthin better on a weekend morning than a bed full of kids. And plumped up on pillows with a laptop at the ready...what a great way to blog!

Sure thats it give the wifey ideas
she'll have me making the beds and changing my underwear daily. Right now I try to reverse my shorts daily to get two days wear out of them. That gives me another idea, I can "flip" the sheets over and get twice the use. Thanks!!

I don't always make my own bed
but I love the feel of climbing between crisp, cool, smooth sheets. It reminds me of my grandmother's house. She was a quadraplegic and sent ALL of her laundry out - including the sheets, and they were ironed. She had her caretakers well trained in the art of making a bed. And, they always smelled so good. There were not necessarily bedspreads, though. Just really cool blankets like Hudson Bay wool ones! They weren't beautifully dressed beds, but practical and inviting.
