Today you are the talker, and we..the  helpless listeners. SUPERBLY DELIGHTFUL SONNET!

Tony, this is a good one. Your best for a while, I'd say. Class writing!

Thanks Discom, Rumored and Deepananda!
Very kind of you. (Just experimenting with background colour. Sorry!)

Tony
Well written! The power of listening far exceeds the impact of fluent oratory.

Thank you Troosha - I appreciate it.
Talking is so basic to our self-worth, but really there is so much more to us than the ability to hold others' attention in idle chit chat.

Tony
I’m not only uncomfortable with the kind of people who walk into a room and their voice seems to consume all space, I find them self-consumed. Sometimes there are good leaders – leaders who listens – but often their own agenda supersedes their honourable attempts. Really good sonnet today, Tony. I really enjoyed it.

I suppose we just have to find people at our own level.
I'm not condemning chat, and I'm not too bad at it, but I am conscious that sometimes especially in large groups, i struggle to compete with the real loud people! I suppose I'm more of a listener and observer, but it's frustrating to be limited to that role. It's far more fun to talk!

Tony, I wish I had your problem, I'm one of those chattering monkeys, but
only with people I'm comfortable with.  That's why I married Alex, he makes me look quiet in comparison.

Deception for the gain of peoples trust and then their souls or wealth is what I'm getting from your excellent Sonnet Tony, vivid imagery and story Sir, thank you for posting

This one is rooted in bitter experience - with me not being great at 'chat'
Eccentric is about the best I can manage!
