Of course, the British ( well, the cockney ones at least ) pronounce bagels as "byegels".
Probably derives from the Yiddish accent of East End Jews from Poland and Russia in the 19th century.

That was a cute story! I love my dog so much, he is my buddy too!
I would say a good rule of thumb for stale bagel warning signs.....bread gets really hard and moldy 
.....ewe!

They say that bagels must be cooked at something like 800 degrees. I would think that they would get hard, like stale bread. Who knows. They are already hard enough!

Bagels are not really popular here in the Philippines. I've only tasted one when I was in the US the other year. How about eating a bagel or two for me?
