nothing wrong with the everyday - the life of a Monday or Tuesday (Virginia Woolf) - or even a Saturday.

Hi Afzal, Deepananda and Bhaskar
Yes, I like ordinariness too - people can relate to it, and it's nice to dress it up in verse.
Bhaskar, I'll have to give you some coaching.

The delight of ordinariness being the theme of you sonnet today is appealing especially the winning bit that could make so much difference in building our own Rome/s. I must win a bet to build one for myself. But I fail everytime, and draw satisfaction from your's. Hahaa

I love poetry and your style is captivating. How such simple things of life can be penned in verse.

I would love to make that kind of a house . True Rome was not built in a
Day.

Troosha, you gather correctly that I haven't done so well today.
I've only recently started, though, and I'm up overall, so I'm hopeful it might provide a second income, which can make all the difference. I do other betting too, on the financial markets - that is potentially more lucrative. As for the content of my stuff, its cos i try to make it similar to a diary, but if there's nothing exciting to talk about, why not just talk about the ordinariness of daily life. If only I met more celebs, I could make catty comments about them, or namedrop to improve my status, but I don't!! It's ordinariness or nothing, i'm afraid!

I know nothing about soccer but I gather your bets (wins and losses) are not going get you to your cottage by the sea. I am so often amazed at how you take something so simple – Saturday chores, a soccer match, a dream of living outside the city and craft it into verse.

I did the bathroom today too, went mental with the bleach.
I didn't win any money however... so you've got the edge there.

So that's what Shakespeare was lacking!
I never could put my finger on it before.
