I cannot say that I have washed a library book!
But you are right about those stains and smells! I love the library. I have actually been trying NOT to go in the hopes that I will read some of the other books and magazines I have stockpiled. Plus, last time I went I bought a bunch of books they had on sale as a fundraiser!

I love the library too...my favorite place to go in this town! I also love the smell of books and I have been lucky...didn't get any that stink yet!

I love the library too...Sometimes books will smell of dust or mold. I hate it when the termites eat my books LoL <8O~ my mouse says hi....

I wish we had a decent library
I have to buy the books I want to read and have filled three large book racks already. I am still to find someone who shares my passion for reading and hopefully can start swopping books. What really irritates me is those that feel it is their right to write in ink in the library books. People should learn to respect that the library book is on loan and not private property.
