I haven't kept up either luv, but now I understand why you haven't been able to either. Hey, you and my daughter Neeny should be friends, she does the same work you do. She's an editor/writer in advertising and works for herself too.

Julia...
I just got broadband and what a difference! Now it doesn't take forever for the comment pages to load and the spell check even works! Also, I had no idea that any of the emoticons were animated! I'm going to check your links now, bye.

Julia,
This is interesting! I knew you were a professional writer (obviously), but I didn't really know what or where you wrote. I guess I wasn't around when that information was coming about. You're doing what almost everyone here is dreaming to do! Good for you! You're living the dream! Now, you know you deserve much more than dial-up! I'm confused about the computer issue though because my brother owns a computer business and he hooked my dinosaur up years ago to cable internet. So don't wait to buy another computer, check into an adapter or something. (Not that I know what I'm talking about. Just my two-cents worth). But my old dinosaur was cable-internetting in shoot, I don't know the late 90's (tee-hee, sounds funny). Cable internetting?? Is that what broad-band means? I dunno, I was paying the cable guy for it is all I know!
Everyone struggles with taxes this time of year! Damn government anyway, it was never intended to be this form of thievery! Now you know how I've been stressed and pushed lately. The last thing on earth I would ever venture into is actually doing income taxes, going for my CPA or anything else to do with the IRS. Hogwash. I do my own and a few for friends, otherwise as a lowly bookkeeper I just send 'em off with the bottom line to the tax man! I'm not responsible for anything that happens after they leave the building! It is so nice to read you again!

Well, it sounds as if your prayers have paid off handsomely. I've been very busy myself. Good to hear from you.

Julia, retire and make taxes done easy..................
I visited your sites - good for you. If you've been watching American Idol, you can understand Simon's and the rest of America's frustration, except for girls like my granddaughter, age 12, who keeps that little twit in the contest. He can't sing, but she says he has pretty hair. I hope he's soon gone so someone who deserves to win will win.
Good post, Julia. You're a winner!

Hey, I've got a FANTASTIC computer opportunity for you!
It's slightly used, but it'll be a huge step in forward technology compared to the dinosaur you're currently using.

It's a Colossus 1000, and with a few, relatively inexpensive pieces of upgrade hardware (a few high-gain vacuum tubes which I think can still be found in Cuba), you'll be able to run off a Windows 95 platform. Can you imagine?!? Windows 95!! The mind reels.
And you can forget about your dial-up woes, too. The two beauties shown in the picture (Harriet and Midge) can operate the on-board switchboard way faster than your clunky dial-up modem. Plus, they're total lezbos so they won't be gabbing all day with men.
I picked this baby up at a Department of Defense auction at a nearby Air Force base for a mere $17. Can you believe it? So, that's all I want, plus the shipping to your home, which is about $3,600.
No, don't bother to thank me. I'm just a nice guy.
