... well it does... just a little! I stupidly cut off the tiny tip of a finger once and it was just awful but I got it healed up really fast with essential oils- tea tree and lavender.

whacky--
thank goodness it's "merely a flesh wound" and you didn't cut off your finger. That would have been considerably worse. The bush is a little wild, as nature intended I suppose.

It's a lovely bush! Oh, poor you. I cut my fingers on two different occasions while carving roast beef. Yes, fingers do bleed like mad fools! --Joy!Mary

It does have a sort of rakish, windblown look-- very stylish!
I am suddenly reminded, did you know they've made a stage productioin of
Edward Scissorhands?

When your cut is better, you might like to try the purple solution that closes wounds fast. It maybe sold as potassium permaganate (sp.) solution, works faster than iodine. Sold in pharmacies.

You were doing such a lovely job on it, but I don't mind the Oriental Look.

Axe murderers....
Don't use hedge trimmers! Those bushes are a pain (pun intended) to keep trimmed. At my son's house, the deer trim them up to about 5 feet.

Sorry you got hurt.I also wonder how axe murderers do it.
The blood would chase me away.

It looks pretty bad, Whacky. LOL
I managed to weed-whack the tops of both of my bare feet once when I lost control of the weed whacker. They were "pretty looking things" for a while. It looked as if some whacko with a foot fettish had gone wild with a cat o' nine tails.
