- Go to O MY SOUL MATE.....
So true
You are right about women always having a lover in their heart, soul or dream, it is impossible to survive life without love (real or "imagined'). I have reached a point where I wonder if there is more to love than what we were reared to expect, and your poem does touch on that... maybe the joy of love does not exist in this life but in the next one.

Troosha - Sometimes I write about experiences, mine or about
other's and it appears that most of us has lived through such an experience. You've summed it up nicely, I fully appreciate your effort.

FoliageGold -
Hope the memories were ones that lifted your spirits. It's how we deal with love that we lose that makes us a better person in later years. Many thanks for a good comment.

Kat - Thanks for the concern. I am very well indeed. I tend to write also
from past experiences and I think some others may have had a similar experience. I make my point at the end saying that it doesn't matter how many times we are hurt because we have loved sincerely, we shall inherit twice the amount of happiness in Heaven.

Oh, this was so poignant for me to read. Perhaps it's because it's so close to my heart. Thank you for the remembrance; the memories surfaced....... --Joy!Mary

Shadow
Even love lost stays with us (as you said) for eternity so it’s never wasted time or energy. In fact, I think it teaches us how to be a better man or woman. Although it’s true that everyone has a vision of their “soul mate” sometimes we find ourselves falling in love with someone who doesn’t quite conform to that dream. With an open heart and an open mind the opportunity for love abounds. A wonderful sentiment expressed well, Shadow.
