Let's get this straight! I am not trashing Christianity. I am simply pointing out, and attempting to clean up some gross errors which have found their way into our Faith over the years. What do you think Jesus, Himself, did 2000 years ago? He changed a whole religion; that's what He did. He overturned the tables of the money-changers in the temples. He, and He, only, literally stopped Believers from stoning a woman to death in the streets. He taught us to "turn the other cheek" and to love our enemies rather than adopt "a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye" stance.

If we fail to recognize that errors have found their way into the Bible, we simply have closed our minds to the facts and have lost touch with reality. Why do you think that Christians of such short time ago committed actual murders of their fellow human beings by burning them at the stake because they believed they were possessed by Satan, Demons, or the like? How, then, am I "trashing Christianity" by telling you that the Loving, Compassionate God did not create a Satan or Demons?

You, yourself, do not believe portions of the Bible, although you will probably deny this. Do you wear jewelry or make-up? Do you wear clothing which reveals your femininity? Do you speak up in church? Do you sit with the men in church? Do you think you have rights of equality equal to men? Do you always walk several paces behind the man? And, if you have questions, do you wait to get to a private place with your husband to ask them? (Read the writings of the Apostle Paul on the acceptable behavior of women in the church.) Please don't get me wrong. The writings of Paul concerning a woman's role in society should not be heeded. They are in error. Many other things are as well. We need to do a lot of gardening on Christianity.

So, I am "trashing Christianity?" Hear me out before you accuse me of that!

You must have something far more interesting to do and to write about than to trash Christianity. That seems such a far place beneath who I thought you were. All who fear the emotional aspect of Christianity babble to give excuse to thier lack of faith. Why not just be happy with your faith in whatever it is in and not try to blaspheme the Holiness of God to others.
