Who needs the, 'rat race' indeed. I agree we use our cars too much, sometimes. A walk to market now and again, would be good. Not sure about living so close to work...unless of course one can leave work there. I notice many people today cannot do that. Lovely sonnet. --Joy!Mary

Hi Tony-this makes a great deal of sense! Similar to the days when
everybody's relatives-lived just around the corner! Would make life a great deal healthier and liveable at a slower pace! Nice one.
