These days we need a headless chicken for the sake of our sanity.
I'm all cracked up in little giggles over your posting and the comments! Good work... :)

if one reflects on the fact that most of our politicians are managing quite well, it's not all that surprising to see a headless chicken thriving as well...
And yes, I'd be delighted to answer your questions about NS. But where do I start? Maybe I'll send you a
. And you don't even have to call me 'sir', 'your excellency' will do fine...

Interesting...well, rather odd, but interesting......
I read a similar article years ago and curiously investigated the phenomenon. Apparently chickens have little if any brain and their heads are just for navigating to find food so the blood supply to the head is not so necessary....something along those lines. I don't know about CO but everyone must find some reason for a holiday. Whatever works I suppose. Thank you for entertaining us and I have a question if you don't mind sir.
I've been doing a little online traveling to Nova Scotia because of a dream I had recently. I'd really like to find a virtual tour type CD or such. It is the home of my Scotish ancestory where they first settled upon migrating from Scotland and so the dream caused me curiosity (as with the chicken phenomenon) to investigate. When you have the time, would you mind elaborating on your views of the land? I would be much obliged. Thank you.

I think we can all agree on the issue of taste here (and that's a risky word to use when talking of chickens,

) - it's extremely bad. The
moral dimension is somewhat murky...

ROFLMAO! They look at you funny? I find it interesting that apparently a lot of people don't like chickens, if this small sample is any indication. I can't say I love them, I mean, how could you love a chicken, unless you were one yourself, but if there is a category of things labelled 'Complete Indifference', that's where I would put chickens.
As far as Mike is concerned, I don't know any further details, but I am tempted to get in touch with the good people at the Headless Chicken Festival in Fruita, Colorado...

I don't like the way that chickens cock their head and look at you with one eye. I guess that one you speak of probably had to go to cocking its neck and listening with the one ear it still had.

thanks for the info on 'geek' I didn't know that definition. And no, I haven't seen a geek perform, and it is not on my 'to do' list, nor, I suspect, will it ever end up there...

Provacative post - it inspired me (for some reason), to look uo the word, "geek." In the Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus, one of the definitions of the word "geek" is - "a carnival performer who bites the heads off live chickens in performance." I've never witnessed this (what I suspect would be, a) very surreal "performance" - have you?
