Hi Mary - that's OK - glad you liked it. It's one of those funny after the
event type things - my getting soaking wet in Wales was actually when I was cycling near Brecon, not Machynlleth - I had to chnage the facts around slightly to fit the rhyming scheme! But it could easily have been Machynlleth - it rains an awful lot round there.

The weather's OK at the moment, Mneme.
This started as a paean to Ireland and then I just thought it needed livening up, so I found a way to provide the surprise element - moaning about the weather - the typical British reaction!
