Indeed. My mindset hasn't changed in some areas. My cell phone was dead and I had to use a pay phone. I was amazed that a dime wouldn't do it anymore, you had to have a credit card! --Mary

When I was a kid, we didn't have an ice cream truck...we had VINCE
the ice cream man. This little old man would walk around the neighborhood with his little ice cream cart and ring his bell. lol That's one of my favorite memories.

I'm just an ignorant Aussie wondering what a bombpop is

Does it explode in your mouth or do you throw the paper at a friend and it then explodes.

What I also remember about the good old days is that
my parents used to talk about shirts costing a penny and us not quite believing them. Now when I tell my kids we could get a sweet/lolly/candy for half a cent ,they smirk. We don't even have 5 cent pieces in NZ anymore since October last year. So the 5 cent sweets/lollies/candies have become 10 cents.

I have to trip all the little critters out of my way to get to the ice cream truck first..(kidding) Not really.....I just run faster. A drumstick is $2.00 and the ice creme man says he will throw in an extra for a kiss (he's a toad)

It does feel good to think about those day. As adults most days aren't carefree. As a matter of fact it gets plain worrisome to be an adult.
