sophmoric, by your logic then no one can support Hillaryfor once
Defending the behavior of an impeached husband (or causing it), nor Obama for once having been a black Muslim, nor Edwards for having been a lying skunk trial lawyer.

History will write W. Bush along side A. Lincoln for having - if clumsily - defended America.

Thank you for your input!

And the Oscar goes to...

If the Republicans nominate yet another actor for President, I will split my sides laughing.  Don't they realize, after all the operational incompetence of this administration (like the head of the Arabian Horse Assn as Director of FEMA and a veteranarian as head of women's health issues) that it's not enough to look like a leader. You actually have to be competent.

And your principles are slipping;  this B-grade actor is also a 20-year Washington lobbyist!!!  So much for a D.C. "outsider".  He is also behind the defense team of convicted perjurer "Scooter" Libby and BTW, his firm also represented NARAL.  I believe that NARAL is the National Abortion Rights Action League.  Can you really swallow your pride and nominate a pro-abortion, defender of liars and silk-suited lobbyist just because he looks and acts like a President?

Re: I only have one question then.
In my opinion, most politicians are robots with the politically correct crap that is called ''reasonable ideas.''

Fred Thompson Has The Big Mo'
I hope that Fred Thompson enters the race as well as Hagel.  So far, Tancredo, Paul and Hunter are more interesting and candid about the current issues than the top tier Republican candidates of Guiliani, Romney and McCain.

Good post, my friend. Thompson is indeed a formidable candidate and far
more presidential than our opportunistic Mr. Giuliani.  McCain is shooting himself in the foot and inserted wounded foot in mouth.  And Mitt Romney is going to gain on this Sharpton ruckus, but not a lot.  I'm hoping Hagel comes out as well.  Now, there's my ultimate Republican ticket, Thompson/Hagel or Hagel/Thompson.

Re: Kingmi
Justi, the perfect compromise candidate for a Giuliani/Thompson ticket. The loonies versus the responsible white establishment. Let's see who wants to win the war on terror.

Kingmi
I have really liked him each time I saw him. I have heard no one talking about him. Thank you for this, it gives me hope.

Re: I only have one question then.
Mademoiselle, Hahahahaha, he's the bumbling prosecuter on LAW & ORDER. Also played the admiral of the.naval fleet in the movie THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER. Also he played the campaign manager with the southern accent in IN THE LINE OF FIRE. And for 10 years was a senator from Tennessee.

I only have one question then.

Who's Fred Thompson?

I wish a robot would get elected president.
That way, when he came to town,
we could all take a shot at him,
and not feel too bad.
