Everytime I speak with him, He asks me if I'm gonna cook him a big Sunday dinner!LOL He knows his wishes are taken as my duties. We are all counting down his safe return.

Gee, I can't imagine a burglar in the same room with me. How awful. My car radio was stolen once and I felt so violated and nervous for a long time. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel. Good on you. Wow, yes, it'll be lovely for all of you to have him home again.

I didn't know you lived in Memphis. I don't know what area you're in, but you might consider moving to another part of town. No place is absolutely safe from crime, but others increase the odds of it happening dramatically. By the way, the blogger editormum is also in Memphis, if you didn't know that already.

It is tough to a certain degree. my husband would work at home if there was more work for him to do here. The only time he really gets to work at home is if the Tennessee Valley plants have power outages. That's only a few times per year for about a month. The first year was really hard. We have all adapted. I keep faith that God will fix that to.

you have a lot of intestinal fortitude. Good for you. Sure you were scared but obviously the intruder didn't know that. Bravo.

You know one of those things that's a flashlight, but also a radio,
and with a flick of switch, it become a siren alarm? It's quite small, and even though it won't call the cops for you like a home security system would, but it's considerably cheaper. Maybe it'd be a good idea to invest in one? The only problem is, I don't know if stores still carry those. I haven't seen one in some years.
