First of all,thank you for your nice comment.The "splinter in my happiness" I talk about,is my schizophrenia.And when I think about my long lost love,this feeling helps me to feel less pain.Strange thing you'd say when the love is lost,but in the remains of the lost love are only positive feelings,because nothing really ends.I hope this answers your question.Have a nice day!

I liked the poem, and especially how the repetition and short lines made me "feel" what the words were saying. But all of it seemed like pretty common experiences to me. Why/how is it about schizophrenia?
