Re:Troosha--pretty strong statement--Now the street is where the insane

Re: Scriber--right TAPS--the old days charity really did begin at home,
and extended.  I remember times when someone "dropped in" at lunch time, or dinner time and mom never batted an eye, just added another potato or two to the pot.  We always seemed to have enough for everyone.

No dime ~
Been there, done that, got the leftover pennies to prove it.

You brought a flash of remembrance to my day.  My Dad.  He made it a point to make sure he always had a dime.  Poor man, hard-working, wife and seven kids to feed and clothe, never complained.  Chose to live beside the road to be a help to man.  He made sure we did not see skin color as a barrier or judge a man by the smell of his clothes.

Wow.  The, 'sane' and the, 'norm'....personal dictates, yes?  Or you're meaning societal views?  He sure crosses the line at the end. Wow, well done.  I posted another poem!
