Lou, I actually work in a small group home with 5 adult men who have severe MD..I guess in ways it's very much like a small nursing home..

my daughter is a care giver and was sick with the darn stomach flu and had to get a note from the doc to show her employer to let them know she wasn't faking

I worked in a Nursing Home as Volunteer Director. I worked hard for the residents and the volunteers. Is that where you working a Nursing Home?
I have seen the system get all out of wack when there is flu or severe illness that affects others. The nurses, attendants and all the staff bears a heavy responsibility.
I think you not event week was welcomed.

lou, it may not seem like much, but we had a quiet week at work..
none of the residents got sick or had appointments...that is always welcome, b/c we have weeks when the opposite is true and we are beat by the end of each shift....
