Yes, the city lights can filter into the sky and distort and even hide some stars. On my recent trip to Arizona I really enjoyed the pattern of stars, things I could not see here.  I still do not have much knowledge of start names, something to work on in the future I guess.

O.K. done and I hope you meet the June lst date.  It is amazing how the frost date changes throughout the country. We are close to your area and we have an earlier date about May 10.

You can name the moon and the stars whatever you want to name them - they're yours to name.

Lou - I think there is such a thing as a ploughing moon.
I love being in the country and looking at the stars, they're so much brighter.

You can name it anything you want!! We don't plant our garden here until June 1st. Good thing son didn't plant on Mothers Day cause we had a frost last week!
