Who Is Right?
As my boss likes to say, "Everyone believes their own bullshit."
This will never change.

I don't watch tv, so I don't have a clue what was going on. Thankfully.

The problems arise when people invest too much into their opinions, especially the ones concerning religion and politics. By investing too much, I mean instead of such things simply being particular aspects of their identities, their positions are the
foundation of their identities. These positions define their worth as human beings. When others "reject" these positions by disagreeing, this types see it as a "rejection" of themselves as people. Naturally, they react with hostility. You see it on those message boards, in our real life, face-to-face dealings, and even on this site from time to time.
