Decs, no one has any moral fortitude, any strong convictions, any true and closely held opinions IF they are a politician.
Let a civilian make promises, run for office, attain the office and then anything that they were convinced about before holding office, suddenly fuzzies up and becomes nebulous as fear permeates their brains.
I am sick to my stomach of Republicans and Democrats. Their little slight of hand magic tricks and insider opportunities bore me. There are no real men, no real women in America anymore. Or, if there are, as soon as they attain office, their reality fades and they are as false as all else in our nation's capitol.
What I wouldn't give for somebody who actually said something. I want honesty, clarity, fortitude, fearlessness, a sense of history, a rational thinker, a person above influence, above corruption, and someone above the crowd of idiots that drown me as water drowns me.
I await the minorities uniting and blowing our pea brains soon, if we refuse to make any real moves toward positive planning for our futures on earth.

Yes, well, somebody "blinked." The anti-war part of congress was trying to
change the American people's relationship with the President regarding presidential war powers. They tried and so far have failed, although they took a step in that direction. What they have to do is repeal the War Powers Act for this war, but now it looks as though all changes are on hold until we elect the next president. But don't let anybody install computerized voting machines because they are very easy to rig, I hear.... I think that pretty nearly everyone has heard about hanging chads so that we can all be on the lookout for that problem.

Re: Halluburton fleeing a Democratic congress?
No, no one need fear the Democratic Congress, let alone flee it.
No, Halliburton, having taken American millions in Bush's tenure, knows to hit the road before Bush leaves and the poo poo hits the wind making machine.
Now headquartered in Dubai, Halliburton is no longer an American company, is it?? Bet not anymore. And their plans to create 14,000 jobs somewhere other than in Texas is very telling of Bush's economic policies for his America, I think.
Remember, ingest nothing from China. Heard about the toothpaste now?? Viva globalization, I say.
Has the kitty cat settled into her place on the wall as yet?? Maybe somewhere near that particular window, maybe??
Thanks for still reading and writing to me.

Thanks, azur.
I love reading you and listening to your life....and like being an interfering old woman, full of suggestions, but with no expectations, like with my Congress, that you will do a thing that I write for you....heeheeheehehe.
