Wow. We are on the same frequency. I was getting ready to post on Mullein. I have some growing here, too. It's easy to identify and harvest. Take a pic of something you don't know and maybe I've already identified it. I'll take a stab at it anyway. Have a great day at work!

Wow pretty cool Avant....Are you good at identifying most plants?
I am in the process of identifying some wild medicinal plants that all of a sudden began growing on my property. A few days ago I had out my herb book and went wandering around the yard identifying some plants. My greatest find is that we have "Mullein growing all over my yard and spreading rapidly. I couldn't believe it...you see I take Mullein in capsule form that I purchase at the health food store for my allergies and respiratory. Now I can harvest my own. I love Mother Nature! BTW, I love that you are adding pics to your blog!

Yes. There are many more in the area I intend to clear for growing things, I'm afraid.

They are a type of fruit. A very small, round fleshy fruit with a small pit. I'm seeing more and more value here all the time.

avant--
what are drupes??
Six acres (with three untouched) -- if I lived there, I'd never leave! I hope you do turn your dream of growing something into a reality!

They were probably black cherries. I've found that if they are sour, then they are not ripe enough. They need to be soft and almost rotten before they are sweet. Thanks for the visit.

There was one of those on my grandmother's property I guess. It had long clusters of really tiny balck berries and sour and bitter. She called them Wild Cherries. They don't tast like cherries. This is a nice post.
