Yes. But I wouldn't have the slightest idea about how to begin.

Yes. Meeting Mr. Touchstone was fated. I believe that.

Forgive me. Yes, he probably would have a GPS. He loved that kind of stuff.

Avant -
The first thing that popped into my mind as I read your post was the "X-files". You could have a lot of fun writing a piece about your dad if you wrote it similarly to one you would find on that show!

How wonderful to meet someone that could fill in some blanks about your Dad for you. Meant to be, I guess - your meeting with Mr. Touchstone, that is.

Cute bunch of buddies!
A cartographer! He'd probably be very interested in the technology and how map-making has changed since the days he was in service. This would have been before we had satellites and etc. If he were around today, no doubt he'd have a GPS unit in his car.

I might never find out exactly what he did. I don't think he was a CIA agent, but he was involved at least tangentially.

Good Morning Avant......This is a wonderful picture. What an interesting
story. Do you think you'll ever learn what he really did while in the Military? That is something that even you mom didn't know, but I guess that is what they have to do. When I was growing up I was sure one of my girlfriends father was a CIA agent. He just looked like one! LOL He used to travel a lot out of the country etc. He said he was a salesman of some sort. Turns out, when he retired he came out so to speak...he was CIA!
OK, now I'm going to your other post....not much time to blog this weekend so I am now catching up before I have to go to work.
