They probably are the favorite or at least most often fruit eaten over the world. I don't know that ov course, but most people I know like them a lot. Thanks for the read and the comment.

Justi - Gosh, I sure didn't know all that.
My daughter's synchro coach always told the girls to eat banana's before practise. And our Children's Hospital up here recommends the BRAT diet of Banana, Rice, Applesauce and Toast for upset tummies. My remedy for mosquito bites is Preparation H. Really works.

wow. thanks for sharing this amazing knowledge.
My dad was a diabetic for about 30 odd years. Never needed insulin, was terribly undisciplined aout his eating, hardly ever got ill. He never struggled with depression, overweight, stroke, headaches etc. His obsession, bananas. When he died at 82 he was working fulltime up until a week before he had to have his leg amputated due to diabetic complications. I really can see now a connection betwen his health and bananas.

Why resist that it was funny. Do you keep good check on your potassium? My Dr perscribed some huge pills for me once and I asked me if I could just eat bananas and he said if you think you can manage apx 40 a day. I didn't but I do love them and they are so good for us, I didn't know all that. Good to see you again.

so thats why monkees go ape over bananas (sorry, couldn't resist...)
seriously, I can vouch for their calming effect and because they are rich in potassium, and I have a deficiency in it, I try to eat at least one banana a day..

You got that right it is not bad instead they are sooo good. Here in the Southern part of the US we eat Banana Sandwiches. Do you. We put peanut butter on bread and slice bananas on it or even mayonnaise. Have you done that? What do you call peanut butter. Veggimite is it?

You know it is an engineering miracle too. It has air tight packaging that shows its shile life, An opener atop the peel, is curved to afford us ease in handling while eating and it is completely ready when we choose, just peel and serve.
