PS: How do you know I'm not really your Oklahoman?
OK, so you and gomedome have shown signs of life. Time to go get the sharp stick and hunt down the others....

maj, I am in Edmond, Oklahoma, delivering grandchildren.
I spent one morning this week with Tucson ex-pats, having a yard sale at my future DIL's new house. He is a male nurse and talks and acts a lot like you as he is in ADMIN. now for s major health group. Fun, like really talking to you in person.
We all drove around and I never really got lost. We hit the Myriad Botanical Gardens and the Zoo and today we go to the Fed Bldg. Memorial.
Oklahomans are so very American, quieter, smiling, poorer drivers than Arizonans, and they just have so much space around here that you know that they are just full and overfull of the possibilities that life holds.
I stare and the fields of green and blank spaces between houses full of grasses and wild flowers madly running down the highways and wish that I could live here, but not really.
Mexicans and Blacks and Whites don't really smile openly and chat and mingle conversationally around here and that kills me. My son asked me not to act my usual foolish self and just converse with anyone, but I do. I rarely get responses, but I insist until something happens.
I even have his neighbors, who don't even look at each other, waving at me.
Each group is friendly within itself, understand, very friendly. I am told that this non waving neighbor situation is very rare, but each house was just built this year and so, no one takes the initiative. I want them all singing Kumbaya in a circle hug by the time that I leave.
So, all y'all talk to each other and mingle and be nice, y'hear??
