Re: Re: Re: The real rebirth

Soterios, you ask "Since we are eternal and never die, how is it that we are born when we die?"  The answer is, of course, that are not just "born" at this time; we are "Born Again!"

I am also in agreement with your last sentence, "The flesh we wear is just a set of clothes allowing us to perform functions in the lowest dimension."  The "Born Again" experience might very well be described as "the changing of our 'clothes' for a new Spiritual body to perform functions in much higher dimension!"  We have been CHANGED, if you will, rather than actually "Born Again."  I have no problem with this terminology; the idea is the same.  Now, that I think about it, "CHANGED" might even be a better way to put it than "Born Again!"

Thanks for excellent comment!

Re: GE - Sannhet's tad difference

It might surprise you to know that, in the Church of the Unknown God, there is ample room for a rather wide range of opinions!  We are not narrow-minded; nor are we closed shut in "dogma" or "doctrine."  Variety is "the spice of life," and each of our tenets is always and constantly subject to review and change.  We ENCOURAGE free thinking as the only alternative to bigotry and stagnation!  "Doubt" is a good thing!  Our beginning premise is that, "when any or all of our tenets match our collective experience and observations, and to  extent to which they do this, then we must be even closer to "the real Truth!"  Above all, let us be honest, caring, considerate, and tolerant, and let us continue to grow in our Fauth!

Thanks for your valuable comment!  It is highy appreciated!

Re: Re: The real rebirth

Everyone is preoccupied with flesh and the deires that go with it. Too much attachment to what is only a temporary situation

Like wearing clothes when all the time you know that they are a simply barrier to your nakedness.

The flesh we wear is just a temporary set of clothes allowing us to perform funtions in the lowest dimension.

Re: Re: The real rebirth P.S. for Soterios
For example, see John 3: 1 thru 12 (King James version) for its description of the Born Again" process.

Re: The real rebirth

Soterios,

I understand this Church's viewpoint, and it may very well be valid for its own purposes.  However, this is not the "Born Again" experience of which I was speaking.  Once again, the born again process to which I was referring occurs only after the physical human body is dead and ready for burial!  The physical human body cannot enter the "Kingdom of God!"  We will be given a new body for that; i.e. we will then be truly "Born Again!"

Thanks for sharing your viewpoint.

The real rebirth
To be born again in the spirit is something that the church defines as the ceremony which welcomes the person into the entrance of the christian life. It's usually accompanied by the ceremony of water baptism. Since having water poured over you is a physical activity, it has no effect on the spirit within.

The truth of what it means to be born again, is somewhat different.

When the believer decides to adopt regular daily prayers reqesting protection and healing, something happens inside that person. What happens is a spiritual awakening. When I say spiritual awakening, i don't mean the type of epiphany you get when you gaze at the mountains and a beautiful eagle catches your eye. What actually happens is that your once dormant spirit suddenly activates within you. Because your spirit has a human shape, you suddenly become acutely conscious that this spirit-man has a life of it's own, which manifests itsself to the believer through the dream life.

The de facto entrance to the spirit life is therefore through the prayer life. Prayer & daily scripture reading are the things that feed it and allow God to quicken it. The ultimate aim is for the spirit to un-darken itsself through resistance and warfare (wrestling) and to emerge unbound into the heavenly realms. The modern church fails to understand that the revelation of heaven is experieced by the man's spirit within himself once that liberation occurs. It is supposed to happen while we are still alive.

Just as you can become born again with the uptake of a prayer life, so you can also cease to be born again when your prayer life stops. This is becasue the spirit drops into inactivity due to the withdrawl of divine energisings.
