Hello Mariaki - you do need those sunglasses then.
Yes, I see what you mean. I do enjoy the rain really - we haven't had enough rain for years on end and this is helping to fix that!!

Oh what I wouldn't give for a good old fashioned downpour - never satisfied are we? Here in Cyprus we love the rain (we spend most of the year at between 30 and 45 degrees and have a constant water shortage)..........

Re: Hi Notapoet - certainly, twould be a pleasure!
I'm on the way -- as soon as I make my next fortune! I have high hopes for the advance on the book that isn't finished yet. It keeps raining on my dreams. Yes, we have rain in buckets on occasion. This is hurricaine season, which is why the NHL team based in Raleigh go by the moniker of Carolina Hurricaines. Someday I'll have to tell you about my encounters with many a big storm going all the way back to a frightful one called Hazel when I was just a boy.

We had similar problems with the rain
...at the Women's (LPGA) U. S. Open in Southern Pines, North Carolina -- less than 20 minutes from my digs. I'm not a big golf or tennis fan. But I'm a big fan of Europe. If I ever get back across the big pond maybe you'll show me some of the local countryside and gathering places when I'm in your neck of the woods.

Hi, Drohan - I too am quite enjoying the rain - it is better than never-
ending sun, which leads to drought and water shortages. But this summer has been nothing but rain! Thanks!

I remember the 1st (and only) time I went to see the Indianapolis 500, in 1986 - it got rained out, twice! We finally got to see it, and a guy named Bobby Rahal (sp?) won - rain sucks - at least when you're outdoors! Nice sonnet!
